Soapstone carving |
|
Carving soapstone has been a popular activity for children and young people at the trade fair for many years.
Regardless of whether you start with a roughly prepared piece or with a simple soapstone chunk. Everyone carves, files and grinds the best he can. The children like to do the same thing, so that they can all take a “little animal” or a stone with an imaginative carving home at the end of a long exhibition day.
And whoever is “struck by the muse” can happily get really dusty as well.
