Carving raw stones at the Mineralienfreunde carving stand has also been casting a spell over the children for many decades. The carvers on hand under the direction of Heinrich Zeitvogel, the specialist with experience of many years, are always ready to show even small visitors the right way to handle the stones.
This is because carving can turn a simple, grey stone into a smooth and sometimes glittering favourite stone. You will see that the children proudly take their self-created works home and are soon looking forward to the next year when they can get involved again.
